The granddaughter of Fruehauf Trailers, Ruth Fruehauf, is on a cross-country tour to share the history of this granddaddy trucking company that in its early days operated a plant in San Diego during its near century dominance of semi-trailer manufacturing.
She will introduce “Fruehauf, the First Name in Transportation” photographic presentation at 5 p.m. May 16 in the San Diego Automotive Museum. For the article click here....

Ruth Ann Fruehauf and Darlene Norman have dedicated hard work, determination and intuition to bringing this project to life. This is the ongoing investigation and reporting of their efforts.

An organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of Fruehauf Trailer Company and the Fruehauf family legacy.
The society has created historical books and a traveling exhibit rich with Fruehauf memorabilia and archival materials. Planned for 2016 are 3 books, “The Fruehauf Promotional Story, 1926-1960” "Fruehauf and World Wars and the Military" and “Fruehauf, the First Name in Transportation” an in-depth analysis of the company’s history.
