Roy Fruehauf and Catherine Meacham were married 11-30-1935.   Catherine, known to friends as Kay, was a Detroit beauty who modeled at the famed Detroit Auto Shows.

A newspaper account states that Roy suffered a heart attack during his honeymoon, however doctors reported he was not seriously ill.

Roy Fruehauf and Catherine Meacham Fruehauf were divorced 12-15-1949.  They had four children, Gail Mary, Lynne, Roy Lawrence and William.

Kay remained active in her senior years. She was a scratch golfer and enjoyed driving her speedy Mustang until her 90's.

Roy Fruehauf was introduced to the Kentucky beauty, Ruth Horn in 1949.  Ruth was living in Detroit attending nursing school and working at Burough's Adding Machine.

Roy, broken hearted about the failure of his first marriage was introduced to Ruth by a mutual friend.  Roy was immediately smitten and sent a dozen roses to her secretarial desk each day.  The two had a storybook courtship and Ruth agreed to marry the trailer magnate in 1950.

Ruth stood by her husband's side during difficult times until she was suddenly widowed in 1965.  Her life was never the same and she remained alone until her death in 1997.
