Harry Richard Fruehauf - 1896-1962
Harry Fruehauf was born in Detroit, Michigan in June 1896. He was the third son of August Fruehauf and Louisa Schuchard. He went into the family business at the age of 15, and became a director of the firm in 1918 at the age of 22. He was active in the production end of the company’s manufacturing.
In 1923 he met and married Vera Berns, daughter of Andrew and Ida Franeke Berns. To this marriage was born a son, Harry Richard Fruehauf, Jr. who became manager of the Fruehauf Trailer Company branch in Detroit.
Harry died at Harper Hospital following an operation. He was 65. His final resting place is at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy, Oakland County, Michigan.
